Dr. GS Bhuvaneshwar graduated with a B.Tech (Electronics) in 1972 and M.S. (Bioengineering), 1975 from IIT Madras. He later obtained a PhD in Biomedical Technology from SCTIMST in 1994. He has been honored with several awards, notably the Distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT Madras in 1999, Materials Society of India Medal lecture and NRDC awards for meritorious inventions. In May 2016 he was elected “Fellow, Biomaterials Science & Engineering (FBSE)” by the International Union of Societies of BSE at the World Biomaterials Congress held in Montreal, Canada. From Sep 2012 to Dec 2015, he was Director of Innovation at Trivitron Healthcare Pvt, LTd., Chennai – a leading company of Indian origin with a major focus in Invitro Diagnostics. Previously, he retired as Head of the Biomedical Technology Wing of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum in
2012 after a long distinguished career spanning 36 years.

3) Dr Ramesh Paranjape

Retired as Director, National Aids Research Institute (NARI), Pune.

DR RAMESH PARANJAPE was Director at National AIDS Research Institute, Pune. He received his PhD in Microbiology from University of Madras and was the recipient of National Science Talent Search Scholar (1969- 1975) award. He did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases, NIH and WHO Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Immunology of HIV infection is his main area of interest and established the presence of strong, poly-clonal cross-clade cytotoxic T lymphocyte response in the early sero-converters. He has more than 50 scientific publications in peer reviewed national and international journals and has contributed to WHO (South East Asia) laboratory guidelines.

4. Dr Satya Dash

Dr is currently Advisor Strategy for Pandorum Technologies, Cygenica, SciTal . He is also Ex – Director Impact Lab at PATH India with the mandate to propel innovations in public health emerging from India to the next level. Formerly as Head Strategy Partnerships & Entrepreneurship Development at BIRAC (the nodal Indian biotech innovation agency) & as the ‘Co-ordinator’ of Make in India Cell in BIRAC- his portfolio included overall strategy formulation & implementation for BIRAC, early stage funding, biotech incubators, and business development & communication. He is also a Consultant (pro-bono) to KBITS, GoK advising on Biotech Policy 3.0. Previously he was a Senior Consultant at IIM Bangalore & COO of nodal biotech industry association- ABLE.

5. Mr Ajay Pitre

Mr Ajay Pitre is Managing Partner of Pitre Business Ventures LLP. Mr. Pitre took charge of the Sushrut – Adler group operations as ‘Managing Director’ in 1987 after he graduated in commerce. Mr. Pitre is the Ex-Chairman of CII (Confederation of Indian Industries) Medical Equipment Division (MLED). He is the Ex Co-Chair of the Medical Device Forum of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). He has been a part of the Core Committee advising the Indian Regulators on evolving current Medical Device Regulations and Implementation Strategies. He is also a member of various committees of professional organizations and government agencies such as CII Healthcare Committee, Sub-Committee for standardization of Orthopaedic Implants of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Orthopaedic Association Implants Committee (IOAIC), Governing Council- Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MACCIA). Mr. Pitre is one of the founder members of the Indian Medical Devices Association and a Co Opt Member of Committee of Administration of Pharmexcil. Mr. Pitre is a member of Governing Board CMTI (Central Manufacturing Technology Institute).
