TechEx.in is a Technology Transfer Hub at Venture Center, Pune supported by National Biopharma Mission (implemented by BIRAC). Our aim is to help technology developers and technology commercialization entities find each other, forge collaborations and advance the technology closer to the market in a win-win partnership.

In this matchmaker, TechEx.in would act as a neutral, competent and efficient interface to see technologies to fruition. 

Timelines for Technology Providers :

      • Call open for Technology providers and seekers: Mar 2021- Apr 2021 
      • TechEx.in team will then compile, group, select, vet, qualify:  May-May2021
      • Template sharing for technology pitch with Technology providers:  May 2021
      • Technology Showcase Event: May 2021 (Tentative).
        • Bringing/attracting both sides to the table
        • Curate and organize
        • Arrange sponsor
      • Expression of Interest (EoI) from seeker : till May 2021
      • Post EoI support will be offered free of cost* by TechEx.in team via a dedicated single-point case manager. This would involve follow-up, facilitating information exchange, facilitate IP filing if required prior to exchange of information, suggest modes of engagement, provide deal structure, facilitate negotiation and agreements.
      • Outcome expected: Agreements or joint proposals.
        • Technology transfer agreements (options, license, assignment)
        • Technology co-development projects
        • Startups
        • Investment accompanied by a tech transfer
      • Further support that would be offered by TechEx.in team: Advise on raising funds, mentor, contract management

Process for Technology Seekers :

      • Call open for Technology Seekers: Mar -April 2021
      • TechEx.in team will then compile and curate the data.
      • Incase TechEx.in team finds a suitable technology provider we will get in touch with you.
      • Expression of Interest (EoI) from seeker if a matching solution is found/ available. 
      • Post EoI support will be offered free of cost* by TechEx.in team via a dedicated single-point case manager. This would involve follow-up, facilitating information exchange, facilitate IP filing if required prior to exchange of information, suggest modes of engagement, provide deal structure, facilitate negotiation and agreements.
      • TechEx.in team will facilitate in achieving any of the following outcomes:
          • Technology transfer agreements (options, license, assignment)
          • Technology co-development projects
          • Startups
          • Sponsored R&D 
          • Investment accompanied by a tech transfer
      • TechEx.in team may also organize a reverse pitch event.

*Note: TechEx is the regional TTO appointed by BIRAC, to service R&D institutions based out of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and Madhya Pradesh. The post EoI support will be free of cost for participants from these regions. TechEx might have to work with other regional TTOs for participants based on their geographical location. The working arrangement might differ in this case. Any such differences will be informed upfront to the participants, based on which they can take a decision to proceed.
