Dr Anurag Rathore

ANURAG S. RATHORE is an Institute Chair Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. He is also the Coordinator for the DBT COE for Biopharmaceutical Technology. His previous roles included management positions at Amgen Inc., Thousand Oaks, California and Pharmacia Corp., St. Louis, Missouri. His areas of interest include process development, scale-up, technology transfer, process validation, biosimilars, continuous processing, process analytical technology and quality by design. He has authored more than 500 publications and presentations in these areas. He is presently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Preparative Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Associate Editor for Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology. He also serves on the Editorial Advisory Boards for Biotechnology Progress, Electrophoresis, BioPharm International, Pharmaceutical Technology Europe and Separation and Purification Reviews. Dr. Rathore has edited books titled Novel Bioprocessing Technology for Production of Biopharmaceuticals and Bioproducts, Preparative Chromatography for Separation of Proteins and Peptides, Quality by Design for Biopharmaceuticals: Perspectives and Case Studies (2009), Elements of Biopharmaceutical Production (2007), Process Validation (2005), Electrokinetic Phenomena (2004) and Scale-up and Optimization in Preparative Chromatography (2003). He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Yale University. Prof. Rathore is presently serving as Dean, Corporate Relations, at IIT Delhi.

Skilled in Verification and Validation (V&V), Biological Engineering, Recombinant Fermentation, Mammalian Cell Culture, Bioprocess Development and Scale up, Protein Delivery, Spectroscopy, Regulatory Science and Technology Transfer. Strong engineering professional with B. Tech from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, M. Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi and a PDF focused in Biochemical Engineering and Downstream Processing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He is Editorial Board Member of a number of National and International Journals and has more than 50 publications. He is a member of many scientific and technical committees of CSIR, DBT, DST, BIRAC, ICMR etc. and recipient of a number of awards and fellowships including CSIR Technology Award 2018 and Lupin Visiting Fellowship for Bioprocess Technology Endowment for year 2019-20, ICT, Mumbai

Dr Kavita Singh

Dr Singh, is the Former Mission Director of the National Biopharma Mission and Mission COVID Suraksha, both of which are large funded programs to enhance India’s biotech and vaccine development capabilities by Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India. Presently she is Consultant to Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi). In the past she has been the Program Director of Multi Vaccines Development Program (MVDP) which is a not-for-profit research society advancing and accelerating early translational development of novel vaccines against Infectious Diseases”. Her other previous engagements have been in the Indian Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry in the area of clinical development of new drugs and vaccines. Dr Singh has a Medical Undergraduate degree, MD in Medical Microbiology from PGI, Chandigarh and certificate in Executive Program in Business Management from IIM, Kolkatta

Dr Narendra Chirmule

Narendra Chirmuleis the co-founder and CEO of SymphonyTech Biologics, a data analytics company focused on engineering solutions to biology. He is the Chief Scientific Officer of a immunology-research services company, AcuImmune.As former Head of R&D at Biocon (Bangalore),and leadership positions in Amgen (Thousand Oaks, CA) and Merck Vaccines (West Point, PA), has contributed to clinical development of vaccines and biopharmaceuticals. He did a PhD on development of a leprosy vaccine, from Cancer Research Institute, Mumbai; post-doctoral studies on pathogenesis of AIDS from Cornell University Medical College-North Shore Hospital, New York; teaching and research as assistant professor in gene therapy at University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Dr. Chirmule is on the NIH advisory committee for HIV vaccine
